CSA

We will be suspending our CSA for the 2012 season as Jean will be working full time as the urban farmer for the Common Roots Urban Farm.  Check back with us next year to see what we are up to for the 2013 season.  (see blog post March 8, 2012)

Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) is a unique way of farming that ties the meaningful relationships between the farmer, the consumer, and the land.
CSA members pledge support to the farm at the beginning of each season, and in return the farmer provides him or her with a weekly "food box" of delicious local produce. Members have the opportunity to participate in farming through this arrangement and can even influence the farmer’s choice of what to grow!
By investing in the farm at the beginning of the season, members accept some of the risk inherent to farming (such as flood, drought or crop failure) and are able to enjoy the incredible bounty of a successful harvest!
CSA is a wonderful way to ensure you’re eating fresh, locally grown food, while supporting small farmers and a vibrant, local food culture.
If the CSA program isn’t right for you, don’t worry! You can still find our delicious, home-grown veggies at local grocers, restaurants, and the Farmers’ Market.
